The tot got her head stuck in railings at Leighswood School, Aldridge, at around 10.55am.

Fire crews from Aldridge used equipment to spread the bars so the toddler could escape.

It is thought the 999 call was made by a teacher at the school and the youngster was trapped for around five minutes.

Watch commander Mick Goode, from Aldridge fire station, said: "It happened during playtime. She was trying to climb through.

"She was fine when we released her."
