Thief in motorbike helmet robbed Halesowen store and brandished gun
A helmet clad thief is being hunted by police after brandishing what is believed to be a hand gun in a Halesowen store robbery.
Police were called to the Co-op supermarket on Manor Lane in Howley Grange at around 7pm when a man in a silver motorcycle helmet walked into the store and threatened staff. He demanded cash and then left the store by the back door.
Detective Constable Simon Wilmott, from Dudley's Acquisitive Crime Team, said: "We are sure someone will recognise the distinctive silver and black helmet and may know someone who owns one that matches that seen in the CCTV.
"Fortunately the members of staff were unharmed during the robbery, but were obviously left very shaken."
The incident happened on Monday, June 29. Anyone with information is urged to call West Midlands Police on 101.
Alternatively people can leave information anonymously by calling Crimestoppers the independent charity on 0800 555 111.
