Phil Parkes presented a Sentinel Lymph Node Probe to General Surgeon Brian Isgar in memory of his wife Maureen, who died from cancer five years ago.

During her brave battle Phil, Maureen and their friend Sheila Edwards set up the Maureen Parkes Breast Care Fund, and have since raised almost £60,000 through various fundraising events, including golf days organised by another Wolves great Steve Daly.

Phil and Sheila extended their thanks to the many local businesses who have supported the fundraising, which has enabled the Trust to purchase various pieces of equipment to enhance the treatment and care of patients.

The latest purchase reduces the risk of post-operative problems.

Ruth Horton, group manager of surgical services and patient services, thanked the fund and its supporters for continuing to support patient care.
