WATCH: One Direction's Liam is a Payne in the neck for Andy Murray

'Murray Out!' was the verdict of Liam Payne as he was pushed to the brink by coach Andy Murray during a vigorous on court training session.

Fortunately it was all part of a comedy sketch to raise awareness of Unicef UK's Children in Danger Summer Disease Appeal.

Wolverhampton's One Direction star was joined by comedian Jack Whitehall and presenter Clare Balding to film a short skit that Andy Murray revealed on his Facebook page.

The clip shows him take on the role of coach trying to get his team ready for a charity tennis match, but unfortunately they don't all want to play ball.

In one scene he barks at a flat-on-his-back Liam: "Are you resting Liam from One Direction? Unicef won't rest until every child is safe!"

Another clip shows Whitehall talking himself up for a slot in One Direction.

"I'm here for Unicef, but I'm also here for a job interview," he says. But Liam, from Bushbury, is not impressed. "No way in hell. Not a chance," is his response.

Andy, aged 28, said: "I've supported Unicef for a few years now and when Liam Payne asked me if we could have a knock up together I thought that it would be a great idea to try and do something in aid of Unicef to help the children they are working to protect. We came up with the idea of making a short comedy sketch and it was great that Jack Whitehall and Clare Balding were keen to get involved too, which meant that we could have a doubles match – albeit a rather unusual one.

"Hopefully people will enjoy watching the film and will share it with their mates.

"The work Unicef does to protect millions of children from danger is so important, and I hope we can help spread the word about their summer appeal and raise lots of money.

"Jack, Clare and Liam all definitely gave it their best shot."
