The 22-year-old from Netherton was injured when this red Yamaha bike collided with a black Honda Civic on Thursday.

The crash took place just after 5pm at the junction of Church Road and Marriott Road in Netherton.

The road was closed for several hours while specialist collision reconstruction staff examined the scene.

Sergeant Alan Wood, from the Collision Investigation Unit, said: "I am keen to trace anyone who saw what happened. This is a busy junction and there will have been more people who witnessed the collision than who have spoken to us at this time."

The driver of the car, who has not been arrested, is helping officers with their inquiries.

Anyone with information should call police on 101.
