Gordon Ramsay turns up heat on Staffordshire Ironman rival
Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay may have met his match in a Midlands businessman who has pledged to beat him to the finish-line in this weekend's Ironman race in Staffordshire.
The larger-than-life restaurateur and keen triathlete challenged Dean Jackson to a personal battle beween the two – with the loser paying £1,000 into the chef's charitable trust, the Gordon Ramsay Foundation.
The pair will lock horns at Sunday's Ironman event taking place at Chasewater Country Park near Burntwood, and the Shugborough Estate, Stafford.
Mr Jackson owns the company in Derby that produces the wetsuits the three-star Michelin chef wears when he competes in competitions across the UK with members of GR100, a team of amateur athletes who come together to raise money for the chef's foundation.
