Dog rescued from house after chip pan fire

A dog was rescued from a house in Cannock after an unattended chip pan caught fire.

The pet was taken out of the premises, in Blackfords, by firefighters who were called there.

Crews from Penkridge and Bloxwich arrived at the scene at about 6.20pm on Saturday afternoon.

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service said the animal was unharmed and the fire started accidentally
