Sir Jack Hayward stand backed by Express & Star readers
A decision to rename a stand at Molineux after Sir Jack Hayward has been backed by Express & Star readers.
Almost three quarters agreed that the Jack Harris stand, known as the South Bank, should be renamed the Sir Jack Hayward stand.
The move has come in for some criticism, including from former chairman Jack Harris' family who said it was 'disappointing'. The stand was previously named after Mr Harris.
Plans are also being made for a statue of Sir Jack in Wolverhampton city centre, with Wolves in discussions with council chiefs over a location.
An online poll on the Express & Star website saw 73 per cent of fans agree with the decision to rename the stand after Sir Jack, while 27 per cent were against.
Sir Jack died in January aged 91 and his funeral saw thousands take to the streets.
