Police continue to hunt 19-year-old fugitive Jackson, wanted over the murder of Herman 'Louis' Simpson in Chapel Ash last week.

And the suspect's uncle Joe Jackson, who is chairman of Wolverhampton Citizens 4 Change, said he would escort his nephew to the police station if he came forward.

He said: "Get in touch and we'll meet with you and bring you in. Let's start to see exactly what has taken place here.

"The family's worried about you. We want you to get in touch and we'll take it from there."

Armed police surrounded a house in Penn last Friday following reports he was inside - an approach Mr Jackson's mother Lorna called 'heavy-handed'.

Joe Jackson agreed the police presence was too strong and added: "He's a young man, his dad passed away when he was three and so he's grown up without his father.

"He's had a fairly tough background and if I say it's been difficult for him it's an understatement.

"Dylan's story is the same with many of our young people in tough circumstances.

"At this time this is just an allegation and we don't necessarily know for a fact that Dylan has done this."

Mr Simpson, 47, was found stabbed to death in his home in Compton Road at 8.30pm last Monday.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 or 0800 555 111.
