Pople travelling from Birmingham to London have been made to pay the most since 2010, a study has shown.

The Walsall bound track was temporarily blocked after the unidentified man took ill on the platform at Bescot Stadium train station at around 1pm this afternoon.

London Midland spokesman Francis Thomas said the Wolverhampton to Walsall 12.20 service was halted at the scene, in Bescot Crescent, blocking the line.

"A passenger collapsed near the platform edge and an ambulance was called," he said.

The company said the line was cleared by 2pm resulting in 15 minute delays.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said the man was taken to Walsall Manor Hospital for treatment.

British Transport Police also attended to assist.
