Birmingham New Street Station sex pest had images of bestiality
A man who was spotted touching women at New Street Station was also found to be in possession of dozens of sickening bestiality images when police searched his home.
Police put out a media appeal to trace Robert White after he was filmed on CCTV approaching women at the station in Birmingham city centre on October 31, 2013.
The 46-year-old handed himself in after seeing the appeal on Facebook, Wolverhampton Crown Court heard.
When police searched his home in Central Drive, Coseley, they seized more than 100 DVDs and his computer hard drive.
Mr Mark Phillips, prosecuting, said that, when analysed, 23 of the DVDs were found to contain moving and still images of horses and dogs being abused by adults.
His hard drive also contained 26 clips of a spoof version of children's TV favourite Inspector Gadget, which also featured cartoon depictions of bestiality.
Mr Phillips added: "When he was interviewed the defendant told police there may be some porn on the DVDs, but he was unclear about the precise nature of the material."
The court was told that 18 of the images taken from the hard drive and 100 images from the DVDs fell into the most extreme category of pornography.
Mr David Bratt, defending, told the court that White's behaviour had caused him 'huge embarrassment and humiliation'.
"He saw his face in the media and volunteered and assisted police as best he could," said Mr Bratt.
"Since then this has been an open wound waiting for this matter to be disposed of."
Mr Bratt added that White had been in a relationship for the last eight months but had been too ashamed to reveal his behaviour to his partner.
"He is remorseful," said Mr Bratt. "Drink appears to have played a major role in his behaviour at New Street and he has subsequently sought help from Alcoholics Anonymous and reduced his intake."
No charges have ever been brought against White for his behaviour at the train station.
He pleaded guilty to four counts of possessing extreme pornographic images and was placed under a supervision order for 36 months requiring him to attend a group programme for sex offenders.
He was also put on an electronically monitored curfew for three months and disqualified from working with children.
White was also made the subject of a 10-year sexual harm prevention order.
