Wolverhampton club voted Best Midlands Gay Nightclub 2015
Wolverhampton's popular nightclub Gorgeous has been voted Best Midlands Gay Nightclub and Best Overall Midlands Gay Venue 2015 at The Midlands Zone Readers Awards.
The venue on School Street, which opened in 2010, has now scooped the prestigious awards three years in a row.
Shaun Keasey of JJCA Limited, the company the runs the venue, said: "We attended the awards not expecting to win again due to a great new gay venue opening in Stoke.
"It was a fantastic feeling as the awards are voted on by the general public, people that use the venues every day.
"We are so proud of Gorgeous and to be flying the flag for Wolverhampton."
"The hard work begins now of course as Gorgeous will be moving in September to a bigger site on School Street.
"We can't wait to take the brand to the next level."
Dale Murphy, manager of Gorgeous, added: "I would like to thank and congratulate the staff, door staff and DJ's who do such an amazing job.
