Man, 88, seriously injured after knocked from mobility scooter in Tipton collision
An 88-year-old man was seriously injured when he was knocked from his mobility scooter after being involved in a collision with a vehicle in Tipton.
The incident occurred as the pensioner crossed the Toll End Road.
He is being treated in hospital where his condition is described as stable.
The collision happened at around 11.20am yesterday, near to Ocker Hill Roundabout.
The road was closed for approximately an hour while specialist collision reconstruction staff examined the scene to establish what happened.
Sergeant Alan Wood, from the Collision Investigation Unit, said: "People who stopped at the scene to help have been spoken to but I am keen to speak to anyone who may have actually witnesses the collision."
