The council worker used to go to the Banks's Stadium and cheer on the Saddlers from his mid-teens.

But he moved to Bristol to live in 2010, having commuted for a number of years before then to see his partner, and been attending City home games since.

However, the father-of-two who was originally from Bull Street, Darlaston, admits his heart still remains with the Saddlers. He is unsure how he will react to any goals going in at both ends.

"I don't know until it actually happens, I think it is going to be a natural thing," he said. "I was born in Walsall and lived in Darlaston for 29 years.

"In 2010 I moved to Bristol to live with my wife. I have been a regular visitor to Bristol since 2006.

"From the moment I set foot in Bristol I decided to visit Ashton Gate and watch Bristol City.

"The first couple of years I only watched them play a handful of times. Eventually when I moved here permanently I then decided to adopt Bristol City as my local football team.

"I have been watching Bristol City religiously for the last few seasons.

"When this fixture came together this was either a match in heaven or a massive dilemma for me. I am now torn between two teams.

"My heart wants Walsall to win however due to banter and bragging rights with my friends that are back in Walsall my head wants Bristol City to win."

He estimates there will be at least a 100 people from both sides that he will know at Wembley.

He has attended every game following City in the competition to date.

But crucially, if he is forced to make the choice, about he wants to win who will he go for? "It is the first time at Wembley for Walsall. It would be Walsall.

"Bristol City are top of the league, hopefully they win that."
