Wolves legends to play charity match in memory of Margot Martini
Former Wolves legends will play in a charity match in memory of a toddler who died of leukaemia. Wednesbury Athletic will play Wolves All Stars on May 31 to raise money for the Team Margot Foundation.
The charity was set up in memory of two-year-old Margot Martini who died after a year-long battle with two rare forms of blood cancer. Her appeal for a bone marrow donor sparked a worldwide appeal and was backed by celebrities including David Tennant.
Neither the All Star squad or the venue have been revealed. Margot's family and friends have set up the Team Margot Foundation to raise money for charities that helped them. They also want to boost the number of people signed up to the UK Stem Cell Register.
Margot's mum Vicki comes from Essington. For more details go to teammargot.com
