Busy Walsall route to close for £26m roadworks

A busy route will be closed for two weeks during work on the £26 million road improvement scheme in Walsall.

The northbound section of Bescot Road will be closed from Wallows Lane to the junction of Wednesbury Road.

Diversions will be in place from 5pm on March 26 until April 13 to allow for work on that stretch of the programme to be carried out.

A new roundabout will be installed at the junction of Wallows Lane and the carriageway being widened at the Brown Lion junction.

A diversion will be along Wallows Lane, Broadway West, Weston Street, West Bromwich Street, Corporation Street and Wednesbury Road. The southbound side of Bescot Road will remain open.
