Supporters pay Kidderminster Harriers' wages

Players and staff at Kidderminster Harriers are once again being paid.

Officials made the announcement at the club's annual general meeting. Those attending were also told the directors' report and financial statement for the year ending May 31, 2014 showed a loss of £263,601.

Chairman Ken Rae said the wages had been bankrolled by supporters Ernie and Kath Lane, who had guaranteed to fund the playing budget until the end of the season.

Staff and players had staged a protest by refusing to speak to media after Saturday's 0-0 draw at home to FC Halifax.
