Man, 22, stabbed in Black Country pizza shop
An investigation has been launched after a man was stabbed in a pizza shop.
The 22-year-old was taken to hospital after the attack at Pizza Delfino in Market Place, Wednesbury, at 3.15am, but was not seriously hurt.
Terrified shop staff had called police after a man was seen with a knife.
Officers arrived to find the victim, from Blackheath, with a small chest wound and bruises.
He was released from hospital after receiving treatment.
West Midlands Police said the victim had been unwilling to give a statement.
A spokesman said: "We've now spoken to a number of witnesses and have begun a trawl of CCTV which may have captured the attack on camera.
"The precise circumstances of the attack remain unclear as does the motive, so we'll be speaking to the man again later today. We continue to encourage anyone who was in the area and saw something to get in touch."
Anyone with information can call police on 101.
