Go Bananas in Burntwood shut unexpectedly due to a dispute between the owners and the landlord.

Pre-booked parties had to be cancelled at the last minute and the firm says it is trying to refund customers who paid deposits.

Meanwhile, dozens of parents have continued to flood the company's Facebook page with angry messages about the closure.

Bosses now say are looking to relocate elsewhere but could be forced to sell the business if no alternative sites are found.

The latest statement from the firm on the Facebook page says: "I would like to confirm that Go Bananas Burntwood are looking at different options.

"Either to relocate the business and we are working very hard to find another suitable premises or if we cannot find a suitable premises in the local area, then we would consider selling the business.

"As we would prefer to relocate the business at the moment as ourselves and all the staff have worked very hard in the last six months to make Go Bananas one of the best soft play centres around.

"We are trying to resolve customer refunds by seeking legal advice.

"Please understand what has happened was out of our control and we are deeply sorry."

It adds: "We are still looking for new premises and have found two properties which may be suitable.

"Also we do have people interested in buying the business."

On Facebook, parent Sammy Longmore wrote: "Such an awful shame after you'd all worked to hard and it was doing so well."

Kate Griffiths added: "How will you sell the business fixtures fittings etc if you can't get into the building to provide people's refunds?"

Russell Cook wrote: "One very upset five year old this morning. We arrived for my son's birthday party to find the notice on the door. What will be happening to my deposit I have paid?"

The owners claim they are still locked out of the soft play centre in Smiths Close, Burntwood due to the locks being changed on the doors.
