Concert to mark death of stabbing victim Christina Edkins
A concert is being held in memory of Halesowen schoolgirl Christina Edkins.
The 16-year-old was fatally stabbed on a bus as she made her way to Leasowes High School in March 2013.
Now a charity rock concert is being held in Birmingham to mark the second anniversary of her death. The gig will be held at the Asylum club, in the Jewellery Quarter, on March 14. It has been organised by family friend Dave Williamson
All profits from the show are going to a fund set up in the teenager's name. This will help pay for a building to be refurbished and converted into a Scout hut.
Christina was attacked while on the top deck of a bus travelling along Hagley Road by paranoid schizophrenic Phillip Simelane, of Walsall.
Simelane had a history of mental illness, but had been released from prison unsupervised prior to the attack.
