The Ken Dodd - Happiness Show, The Good old Days of Variety and Soul Survivors are among the shows to be put back to later in this year year due to the work.

The venue has been closed due to the loose plaster on the hall ceiling, which must be fixed.

Councillor Hilary Bills, cabinet member for environment and culture, said: "Our contractors have made an initial inspection of the work that needs doing and have advised us the hall needs to close until the end of March.

"We have continued to work with groups and show organisers booked into Dudley Town Hall to find alternative venues or change scheduled dates wherever possible and I'm glad that we've managed to re-schedule these shows.

"In the meantime, we apologise to people for any inconvenience during this unforeseen but essential work."

Psychic Sally on the Road, which is scheduled for April at Dudley Town Hall, is expected to go ahead as planned.
