Brandhall Primary School, in Brennand Road, Oldbury, has been forced to shut to pupils from years one to six.

The closure does not affect reception classes as the heating in their building is operating as normal.

A statement from the school said: "We are very sorry for the inconvenience this will cause but our top priority is the health and safety of our children and, not being able to guarantee that the temperature in classrooms will be suitable for children, we have been left with no option but to close."

Staff say they will issue updates if they are forced to close on Friday as well.
