Dennis Palmer was charged in connection with the thefts, which happened between December 20, 2013, and December 7, 2014.

The fraud charge is in relation to an allegation he attempted to sell the stolen ornaments while stating they belonged to him.

The 47-year-old of Victoria Road, Park Village, appeared before Wolverhampton Magistrates' Court yesterday, where he was released on court bail.

PC Paul Johnson from the Low Hill Neighbourhood Policing Team said: "We fully understand the impact these thefts have had on the local community and I would like to thank all those who came forward to identify suspected stolen items following a recent appeal in the media."
