Wolverhampton brothers in court after policewoman dragged 35m by stolen car

Two brothers appeared in court today after a female police officer was dragged 35 metres across a road junction by a stolen car.

Pc Buryana was hit and dragged on the crossroads of Willenhall Road and Neachells Lane between Wednesfield and Willenhall. She suffered muscular and soft tissue injuries in the incident in the early hours of Tuesday.

Donovan and Daniel Icke, aged 19 and 21 respectively, appeared at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court both charged with aggravated vehicle taking. They denied the charge.

Donovan, of High Road, Willenhall, was also charged with dangerous driving. He gave no plea.

Both Donovan and Daniel, of Clarence Road, Bilston, will appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on February 25.

They were given bail with a night curfew and requirement to report at Bilston police station weekly.

A Ford Fiesta was taken from a house in Lyndale Drive, Wednesfield, at 4.10am on Tuesday.
