IN PICTURES: More than 60 firefighters tackle huge blaze at Smethwick industrial estate

The blaze broke out in units on the Middlemore Industrial Estate at around 3am today.

West Midlands Fire Service said the blaze had affected mixed use industrial units, clothes, electrical goods and stationary supplies.

Surrounding roads including Bridge Street North, Lewisham Road and Wattville Road have been shut to traffic.

Wattville Primary School has been closed for the day and residents living nearby have been asked to keep their windows shut due to smoke.
