Wolverhampton farm raided by vandals inundated with offers to replace killed livestock
Staff at a Wolverhampton farm that was ransacked by vandals have said they have been inundated with offers to replace livestock that were killed during the raid.
Noel the turkey and three chickens were slaughtered by a fox after yobs wrecked animal enclosures at Northycote Farm in Bushbury.
In the three weeks since the attack farm staff have been offered a number of baby chickens by kind-hearted members of the public - although none have been accepted because the farm already has a new batch of chicks from its own stock.
Farm and countryside ranger Mark Game said: "There has been a tremendous response from people. Thankfully we have enough chicks from this year's hatches to replace the three lost chickens."
Mr Game said the farm plans to buy a new turkey from a local supplier in January.
