Plans have gone in to demolish the Lakefield Road building at the school which has been vacant since 2013 when pupils moved into its new £14.6m site on Lichfield Road.
In September it was targeted by arsonists who started a blaze that tore through the school's former hall.
At its height, 20 firefighters battled with the fire into the early hours with smoke billowing from the two-storey building seen up three miles away.
If granted approval it is expected to be flattened in March next year.
