Caught on camera: Man left with serious facial injuries after single punch in Dudley bar assault
A man was left with serious facial injuries after an attack outside a Dudley bar.
CCTV captured crystal clear footage of the assault at Montys Wine Bar on Sedgley High Street, showing the 43-year-old victim drinking at the venue.
As he was walking away from the bar he began talking to two men. CCTV shows the conversation turn into an argument and one of the men marched over and punched him, knocking him to the floor.
The attack was so severe he continues to need medical treatment for the injuries to his face.
PC Stewart Turner, from the force's violent crime team, said: "I am sure someone will recognise the man in the CCTV and I would urge anyone who recognises him to call me or one of the team.
"As a result of the attack the man has received serious facial injuries and we are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time to come forward.
"I would also like to take this opportunity to appeal to the man in the CCTV to do the right thing and come forward; we can then get his side of the story."
