HS2 concerns to be raised in meeting
Two councils will be outlining their oppositions to the controversial HS2 rail line in Parliament later this month.

Representatives from Staffordshire County Council and Lichfield District Council will appear before the HS2 Select Committee on October 14.
They will be raising concerns over phase one of the rail line which runs from London to the Midlands and suggesting preferred changes to the route.
Parish councils including Kings Bromley and Whittington and Fisherwick will also be appearing before the committee on October 15.
