Car smashed into lamp post in busy Black Country street
A car has left the road and struck a lamp post in a busy high street today.

The accident happened in High Street, Lye, near Stourbridge, at around 5.45am.
The silver Renault Clio mounted the pavement and hit the lamp post in the crash.
A male driver, in his 20s, suffered minor injuries and paramedics checked him over but he did not require hospital treatment.
Debris was scattered across the pavement in the aftermath of the crash.
The road was partially blocked until 7.30pm while fire crews from
Stourbridge fire station attended.
Firefighters ensured the vehicle safe and cordoned off the area while teams from Dudley Council's highways teams arrived to remove the lamp post.
