Teenage girl injured after crash between lorry and van

A teenager has been taken to hospital after a crash between a lorry and a van in Halesowen this afternoon.

Crews from West Midlands Ambulance Service were called to Grange Road at just after 5pm, as well as an air ambulance.

The woman, who is thought to have been aged around 17, was treated for a leg injury and taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "Crews attended a collision between a lorry and van.

"A woman passenger in the van, believed to be 17 years old, was trapped for a short time. She received treatment for a leg injury. The woman was immobilised using a splint, neck collar and spinal board. She was given pain relief before being conveyed to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by land ambulance."
