Firefighters were called to tackle the flames as they tore through the single storey building in Doulton Road.

Two crews from Haden Cross and Oldbury fire stations attended the incident just before 4am.

Flames were seen coming out of the top of the building, which was empty at the time of the blaze.

Around 30 per cent of the factory unit, which measured 32ft by 82ft, was destroyed by the flames.

It took crews just under an hour to bring it under control with hoses and jets used to douse the fire.
