Ms Bensley was found collapsed on Cheshire Street in Smethwick at just before 11.50pm on Wednesday, September 3.

She was pronounced dead by medical staff at the scene. A post mortem examination confirmed she died from a head injury.

A 14-year-old boy was arrested in the area last Thursday afternoon and was released on conditional bail the following day while enquiries continue.

DCI Sam Ridding from Force CID said: "We are still piecing together all of the information we have gathered to determine Glynis' last movements and what led to her tragic death. Our thoughts remain with Glynis' family and friends who are devastated by what has happened and specially trained officers are working with them at this time.

We continue to appeal to anyone who was in the Cheshire Road area on Wednesday evening to contact us on either 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
