Plan for Wednesbury power plant revealed
A plant providing back-up electricity supply for thousands of homes and businesses could be built in the Black Country.

FirstGen UK wants to build the reserve plant on disused land next to the Tame Valley Canal in Bilport Lane, Wednesbury.
In a supporting document to Sandwell Council planners, the company's agent said: "This type of facility helps National Grid manage the ever-changing power supply and demand balance."
