Robert Knight, aged 53 from Walsall, is thought to be part of a gang who tried to import cocaine through Heathrow Airport in 2008.

He has been on the most wanted list of suspected criminals from the West Midlands in recent years and his last known address was in the Brownhills area of Walsall.

However he also has links to Lichfield and Birmingham as well as Belgium, Gibraltar, Thailand and South Africa.

Hank Cole, Head of International Operations for the National Crime Agency, said: "The NCA and its partners have the capability to pursue fugitives relentlessly. Spain is not a safe haven.

"The exceptional level of collaboration and intelligence sharing with the Spanish authorities has been vital to many of these arrests. The most important thing though is the power of this campaign to harness the eyes and ears of the public, both here and in Spain."
