Woman accused of jointly murdering Halesowen grandmother is bailed

A 24-year-old woman jointly accused of murdering a grandmother in her Halesowen home has been granted bail.

Chantelle Moran-Stokes is charged with Leo Barnes with killing 80-year-old Cynthia Beamond who lived in Juliet Road, Howley Grange.

The pensioner was found dead in the garage of her home two days after she was reported missing to police.

Moran-Stokes was given bail during an appearance at Wolverhampton Crown Court subject to a number of conditions.

She was told she would have to provide a security in the sum of £12,000 and reside in Sandfield Avenue, Small Heath, Birmingham.

She has also been told to report to police twice a week and was made the subject of a night-time curfew.

Other conditions included not going within five miles of Juliet Road and having no contact with her fellow accused.

Barnes, 32, of Runcorn Road, Balsall Heath, Birmingham, is also charged with a second murder at an address in Belize Park, London where the body of 67-year-old Philip Silverstone was discovered.

Both are due in back in court on October 10.
