Former Staffordshire mayor in court on child sex charges
A former mayor from Walsall is appearing in court this morning charged with 17 sex offences.

Ian Lewin, 56 of Campion Close in Walsall, had been listed as a Conservative party member on both Lichfield District Council and Fazeley Town Council websites.
He is charged with 15 counts of possessing indecent photos of a child, one count of an adult attempting to meet a girl under 16 following grooming and one count of attempting to cause/incite a girl aged 13 to 15 to engage in sexual activity.
Lewin, a former mayor of Fazeley, was appearing at Burton Magistrates Court.
