Man wanted after series of assaults against women
This man is being hunted by police over a series of assaults against women.
Marcin Wawrety is known to have connections in the Walsall and Birmingham areas.
He is wanted for questioning over a sexual assault in the Great Barr area on June 15.
Detectives also want to speak to Wawrety, of Birmingham, over an assault in Great Barr on April 23 when a woman was grabbed by the neck and a wounding where a throat was held to a female's throat in Bentley Heath on May 23.
The 37 year-old Wawrety has failed to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court after over four separate offences of possession of cannabis, using racially aggravated threatening words or behaviour, harassment and breaching a restraining order.
Detective Inspector Ian Ingram, from the force's public protection unit, said: "Despite our best efforts to find Wawrety, we have been unable to trace him and we are now urging people to call us if they see him or know where he is.
"He has connections to the Birmingham and Walsall areas and while he is not considered to be a danger to the general public, Wawrety is wanted over a number of nasty assaults - all involving women who are known to him – so it's important we find him as soon as possible.
"His failure to appear before the courts also shows a blatant disregard for the criminal justice system and we would urge anyone with information about Wawrety's whereabouts to contact us on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111."
