Overnight closures at major Churchbridge junction
Drivers face a series of overnight road closures from today as the revamp of a busy junction moves forward.
The £2.9 million project to realign lanes and add traffic lights began this week at Cannock's Churchbridge junction connecting the A5 to Brownhills, M6 Toll and A34 to Bloxwich and Walsall.
It has now been announced Lodge Lane from the A5 to Saredon Road will shut in both directions from 8pm tonight to 6am tomorrow.
There will be no restrictions over the weekend to minimise disruption. And the majority of work will be done overnight.
Lodge Lane will also be shut on Monday night. And lanes will be closed on the approach to the M6 Toll on Monday and Tuesday night next week.
On Wednesday night, the A460 will be closed southbound between Eastern Way and the M6 Toll, while the A5 westbound will shut between Lodge Lane and the M6 Toll island.
