Man arrested on suspicion of theft after Sedgley car smash

A man has been arrested on suspicion of car theft after a crash earlier this month.

A 25-year-old from Wolverhampton was arrested by Staffordshire Police following the accident in Wodehouse Lane in Gospel End, Sedgley, in the early hours of July 14.

Fire crews from Bilston and Dudley were called to cut a 23-year-old man from a Renault Clio.

He was taken to Russells Hall Hospital and required 10 stitches to his elbow.

Three people in the other car left the scene before emergency crews arrived.

The suspect has been released on bail as officers continue their investigation.
