Two arrested after officers discover Wednesbury cannabis farm

Two men have been arrested after police discovered more than 200 cannabis plants at a house in Wednesbury.

Specialist officers from West Midland Police cannabis team raided the property in Corporation Street just after 7pm on Wednesday.

Once inside they discovered four rooms, including the loft space, set up with lights and ventilation and 208 plants in various stage of growth, along with a large quantity of plants being dried in preparation to be sold.

Police say the men, who are aged 23 and 27, are currently helping their officers with their inquiries.

In a separate case this week, police found a cannabis factory worth an estimated £30,00 after raiding a property in Lily Street, West Bromwich.
