Four taken to hospital after Aldridge lorry crash

Three adults and a child were taken to hospital following a crash involving two cars and a lorry.

The smash happened at the junction of Walsall Road and Birmingham Road, in Aldridge, at 1.15pm yesterday.

Three ambulances, a paramedic officer and a community paramedic attended the scene.

A man, believed to be in his 70s, was treated for chest pain and taken by ambulance to Good Hope Hospital.

West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman Steve Parry added: "A man and woman travelling in the second car involved were treated for minor injuries and taken to Walsall Manor Hospital.

"A three-year old male child, also travelling in the vehicle received minor injuries and was taken to hospital.

"The lorry driver was assessed at the scene but did not require hospital treatment."
