CCTV image released of men who carried out attack at Stourbridge pub
Police have released CCTV images of two men who viciously attacked another man in a Stourbridge pub.
The attack took place between inside the Edward Rutland Pub in High Street.
A 25-year-old man was approached inside the pub by one of the offenders who walked up and punched him in the face.
The bouncers intervened and the attacker walked away. A short time later, the man was again approached by the offender, now joined by a second man, who grabbed him around the throat and then struck him across the head with a wooden chair, causing him to fall to the floor, he was repeatedly then kicked by both offenders.
The injured man was taken to hospital and treated for bruising and swelling to his face.
Police today appealed for anyone who recognises the men involved in the attack, which happened between 12.30am and 1am on May 30, to come forward.
DC Dave Hackett from Force CID said: "This was a sustained and vicious attack on a man inside a pub where he suffered lacerations, swelling and bruising to his head as a result. We know there were a lot of people inside the Edward Rutland Pub at the time of this assault and I would urge them to come forward and help identify the two men responsible."
The men are described as white, one was 5'10 and medium build, the other was 6ft and heavy build. Anyone who recognises them should contact Force CID at Harborne on 101.
