Officers take down Tipton cannabis farm

A cannabis factory has been shut down after it was raided by officers from West Midlands Police.

Officers from the Tipton Green Neighbourhood Police Team executed a warrant at the address in Davis Avenue in Tipton on Monday morning.

Inside they found 24 plants being grown under bright lights in a complex hydroponic system.

Following the raid one man was arrested for cultivating cannabis.

Similar raids have also recently been carried out in Sycamore road and Horseley Road and cannabis and tasers were recovered from both.

Tipton Green NPT has been cracking down on drugs in the area following concerns from residents that have included patrols around Dudley Port flats and smith Place.
