Crackdown launched after Staffordshire park vandalism spate
A crackdown has been launched after a spate of vandalism at a Staffordshire park.
Shenstone Playing Fields near Lichfield has been hit by a series of attacks in recent months.
Graffiti has been daubed on the play area and some equipment has been broken,
Council bosses are now calling on park users to help them tackle the problem.
Councillor David Salter, chairman of Shenstone Parish Council, said: "Shenstone playing fields are at the centre of community life in the area, and it is worrying to see it being targeted by vandals. This is why we are asking local people to report any incidences of vandalism to the police, especially if you have seen them being carried out.
"By working with the police, we hope to stop this anti-social behaviour so that we can all take pride in our playing fields again." Call police on 101.
