Man critical after being hit by car in Wolverhampton

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was badly hurt after being hit by a car.

Officers were called to Craddock Street in Whitmore Reans, Wolverhampton, after reports that a person had been struck by a green Chevrolet car.

The 48-year-old man suffered a serious head injury and was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition following the incident that occurred at around 11.40pm on Thursday night, police revealed over the weekend.

Officers from the West Midland Police Collision Investigation Unit are investigating what happened and want to hear from any witnesses.

Sergeant Tim Rogers said: "This was a serious collision and we need to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed it.

"If you think you have any information that could help, please come forward and contact us as soon as you can."
