Two injured in Bilston crash

A man was taken to hospital and a pensioner suffered minor injuries when three vehicles crashed today.

An HGV lorry and two cars were involved in the collision, which happened at the junction between Bank Street and Jordan Place in Bradley, Bilston, at around 3pm.

A man in his 40s, who had been driving a silver Peugeot, was taken to New Cross Hospital with minor facial injuries.

A 70-year-old woman was checked over by paramedics at the scene, believed to have suffered a minor chest injury caused by her seat belt, but did not need treatment.

The lorry driver did not require treatment.

Banks Street and Lord Street West were closed in both directions for around 30 minutes following the accident.

The front of the Peugeot was crumpled in the collision and the two other vehicles were also damaged.

Fire crews from Bilston and Tipton fire stations attended the scene, along with two ambulances and a community paramedic.
