37-year-old Andrzej Matuszczyk, who cannot speak English, went missing from Kidderminster Hospital on Monday where he was a patient. He was last seen in the hospital car park at around 11.45am, say West Mercia Police.

He is described as 6ft, of slim build, with short dark hair. Mr Matuszczyk was last seen wearing burgundy and grey camouflage combat trousers, army-style black boots, a black jumper, black fleece and possibly a black cap.

Mr Matuszczyk came to the country in December and worked for a few months at a mushroom factory in Evesham.

Inspector Paul Crowley from police in Kidderminster said: "We are very concerned for this man's welfare as he hasn't been seen for 10 days. He doesn't speak any English and he may appear to be scared or anxious. He does not know the Kidderminster area well.

"He could be anywhere in Worcestershire or he may have moved on to the West Midlands. We are asking anyone who knows him or has seen him since 14 April to contact us."

Anyone with information about Mr Matuszczyk and his whereabouts is asked to call police immediately on the non emergency number 101 quoting incident number 612s 140414.

Alternatively information can be passed on to the charity Missing People. The helpline number is 116 000.
