Major tailbacks after lorry collides with car on M6

There were major delays this morning after a lorry crashed with a car on the M6 in the West Midlands.

The smash, which happened just after 9am on the northbound carriageway at junction 9 for Wednesbury, saw tailbacks as far back as junction 7 for Great Barr.

It came a day after a man was killed in a crash between an Asda lorry and a car on the M6 at junction 10 for Walsall.

Central Motorway Police tweeted a picture of the crash and issued a warning to drivers:
