Two 15-year-old boys and a 16-year-old boy had been using a dinghy at Lodge Farm Reservoir, in Highbridge Road, Netherton, on Saturday.

Firefighters and a water rescue unit were called to the reservoir, which is used by Dudley Water Ski Club, at about 5pm. The teenagers are not believed to have been members. Fire crews used an inflatable boat to bring the boys back to shore.

Watch commander Roy Whitehead, from Brierley Hill fire station, said the boys were not stuck there for very long and were all okay.
